What you should know
We want you to feel confident and informed every step of the way in your surgery journey with Dr. Rajiv Iyengar. Here’s what to expect regarding payment and coverage:
Please note that cosmetic procedures are not covered by insurance and are considered your personal financial responsibility. This includes not only the procedure itself but any additional costs such as:
- Pre-surgical tests (like lab work, chest x-rays, or EKGs)
- Pathology fees, if a specimen is sent for analysis
- Overnight stays or care related to complications (if they occur)
If pathology is required during your procedure, you’ll receive a separate bill from the pathologist.
Your Price Quote
The quote you receive is valid for 3 months from the date it’s issued. It includes:
- All pre-op and post-op visits with Dr. Iyengar
- Anesthesia fees
- Facility fees at the surgery center
- Implant costs and special equipment (if applicable—e.g., Renuvion, Exparel)
Please note: medical tests are not included in the quote and will be billed separately.
Financing Options
Pay with Cherry
Iyengar Plastic Surgery partners with CareCredit to offer flexible payment options for your procedure. With CareCredit, you can pay for treatment over time with convenient monthly payments instead of one upfront cost. Applications are quick, online, and subject to credit approval.
Apply nowRevisionary Procedure Policy
On rare occasions, a revisionary procedure may be necessary to achieve the desired outcome. If both you and Dr. Iyengar determine that a revision is necessary and reasonable within one year of the original surgery, Dr. Iyengar may choose to waive a portion of his personal surgeon’s fee for the revision procedure. However, you remain fully responsible for the facility fee and anesthesiologist fee associated with the revision surgery, as these entities operate independently of Dr. Iyengar.
For breast surgery patients, any additional breast implant fee for new implants and all associated pathologist’s fees related to the revision procedure will also be your responsibility.
Payment Timelines
We ask that full payment for your surgery be made no later than 21 calendar days before your scheduled surgery date.
Cancellation/Rescheduling Policy
Should you choose to cancel or reschedule your planned surgery within four (4) weeks of your scheduled surgical date, you will forfeit your 20% deposit. If you request a refund of any or all of your paid surgical fees when the cancellation or rescheduling request is made more than four (4) weeks before your surgical date, 5% of your refund amount will be withheld as an administrative fee.

There isn't a bad thing I can say about Dr. Iyengar or my experience. I found Dr. Iyengar after I had been to a friend's consultation up in Bellevue. I heard her quote and options, and knew I wanted to be closer to home for my procedure. I got in for my consultation the same week as I had inquired about my procedure. Dr. Iyengar won me over with the fact that we both grew up in Puyallup, we share a love for Olive Garden breadsticks, he is friendly, knowledgeable, has an incredible bedside manner, taking time to answer questions and get to know your needs, professional, and funny. I was having trouble getting a grip on some hand tools, and at a restaurant that used round table ware rather than flat and edged utensils I notice I couldn't seem to hold them from rolling. My primary physician referred me to Dr. Iyengar. Probably one of the better 20 mile appointments I've had.Dupuytren's contracture, is the culprit the good doctor diagnosed and showed how it prevents my hand from lying flat on a table top because the little, and ring finger were closing on the palm. I mentioned that the middle finger of that hand also locked often with some pain associated with the nuisance. "We can take care of these two procedures today if you'd like" he offered and it made sense if he was willing, I'd travelled 20 miles for the diagnosis, getting the cure at the same time was more than just good sense.
In less than an hour, a pain free hour, the troublesome contracting cord had been freed up and a needle shot of a drug, perhaps cortisone, though I've forgotten, and I was on my way to the physical therapist to learn what I could do following up on the minimal surgery.
From the time I entered the office until I left was a pleasant and friendly exchange of information and personal stories. I didn't wait long, so short I could not get through reading the diplomas and advanced training and education certificates hanging on the walls that Dr. Iyengar has garnered from his studies and surgical skills.
The good doctor keeps a friendly atmosphere for staff and patients, for me 20 miles no longer seemed inconvenient. I'll see him for the followup and look forward to that. You'll be in good hands with Dr. Iyengar and staff.
